" 1st day out again "

We had quite a rolly night because of the main and genoa goosewinging so as soon as daylight appeared we brought out the Oxley. After some adjustments and trying to fly it without any twists, the third time was the right time. It will probably be up for quite some time, winds are not going to be stronger than 15kts and the sailing is so much more comfortable with the Oxley! We were doing more than half the true wind speed (so when it’s 9-10kts we are going at an average of 5 kts).

Quite an uneventful sail after that, we just chilled, read and napped. The Hydrovane is still going strong, keeping us on track and offering us a lot of time off.

We cooked the Mahi mahi we caught last week and that we had frozen and this was the best try so far - the flesh was still moist and not dry at all compared to our previous attempts, I cooked in our cast iron pot a mixture of cabbage, onion and carrots…not a very summery dish but that cabbage needed attention.
